BI Developer · what we verify
What a BI Developer does
A BI Developer designs the semantic models, datasets, and reports that turn warehouse data into consistent business intelligence — so every team measures the business the same way.
Tools and platforms: Power BI and Tableau, plus SSAS tabular models, DAX, SQL, and Looker where used; warehouse sources such as SQL Server, Snowflake, and Azure Synapse.

How we recruit
BI Developers who can actually do the work
Our screening
We assess cross-platform semantic modeling, governed metric design, source connectivity, and report performance. That broader BI-layer ownership is distinct from a Power BI Developer's Power BI-specific DAX, Power Query, gateway, and workspace implementation.
Why this hire is hard to get right
Good BI work looks simple and is anything but. Strong BI developers who model well and communicate with the business are hard to find and easy to keep.
